Walnut Millwork

Floor-to-ceiling walnut millwork combines open shelves, closed cabinets, and integrated shelf lighting, with a green velvet sofa and dark marble table in front.
Walnut is a rich, dark hardwood with a varied grain. As full-height millwork it gives a room the warmth of a library and hides storage behind matching doors.
Light at the back of the shelves adds depth at night and shows objects without spotlights.

Before you choose it
- Walnut veneer on a stable core suits large panels and doors. Solid walnut is better for edges and shelves.
- Walnut lightens in strong sun. Plan window treatments in south and west facing rooms.
- Coordinate shelf lighting and wiring with the cabinetmaker before fabrication.
